Ron Goldman, Singer-Guitarist

Award-winning singer-guitarist-songwriter Ron Goldman performs music with insight, energy, sensitivity, and humor. He has the versatility to use many styles with equal persuasion and creates moods ranging from introspection to celebration. Using electric or acoustic guitar, Ron performs a wide variety of popular music He performs hundreds of songs and can customize a program to match audience musical preferences. Ron has played nationally in nightclubs, restaurants, residential communities, children centers, coffeehouses, private functions, expositions, Earth Day festivals, and ski areas. Audiences warmly appreciate this imaginative and talented  entertainer.

Popular Music Through the Decades
Get ready for standards, classic rock, and show tunes (e.g., My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Cabaret) including hits by Tony Bennett, Elvis Presley, Barbara Steisand, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Beatles, Billy Joel, Ella Fitzgerald, Beach Boys, Dionne Warwick, Carpenters, Bee Gees, James Taylor, Neil Diamond, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow, and others. Participation is encouraged. 

Children's Music
Children's music is a specialty of Ron's programs. He connects easily with children and enjoys involving them in his music. Songs may be original and from traditional and contemporary sources. (See sample Children's Music titles at the end of the song list.) Children are encouraged to respond, participate, move, sing, dance, and play rhythm instruments. Humor and high energy are regularly part of the musical experience. Ron has performed at KinderCare, Bright Horizons, and other children's centers and events.

Classic Rock
This show features music from such recording artists as the Beatles, Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Beach Boys, Everly Brothers, Drifters, Elton John, Five Satins, Mammas and Pappas, Jim Croce, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Youngbloods, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Three Dog Night, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Dion and the Belmonts, Chubby Checker, Buddy Holly, Santana, and many others. Participation is welcome. Remember when you were a teenager! Let's rock!

Classic Folk Songs
This program includes popular folk music from such recording artists as as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Kingston Trio, Judy Collins, Tom Paxton, Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Chad Mitchell Trio, John Denver, and others. Let's enjoy these classic songs. Participation and harmony are invited!

Peace, Love, and Harmony
Programs may be created for particular themes such as peace, love, and harmony. Sample songs could include Get Together, Shower the People, Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream, This Little Light of Mine, What the World Needs Now is Love, That's What Friends Are For, Turn, Turn, Turn, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Imagine, and We are the World. Participation is encouraged. 

Original Music
Ron's original songs provide a generous helping of intelligence and vitality. They include powerful, personal themes and have won awards in local and national contests. His CD album titled Bridge to the Unknown includes ten songs that are both entertaining and carry a message. The music has elements of several styles including pop, blues, jazz, and folk. The title song is a beautiful ballad about the fear of intimacy. The album also features "New Age Junkie," a satirical look at self-improvement, and "Chief Seattle's Message," a moving, ecological warning based on Chief Seattle's speech in 1854. Ron's music has been played on National Public Radio and WUMB in Boston.
